Join Gateway Research Organization (GRO) & Greener Pastures Ranching for a Pasture Walk with hands-on learning and discussion.
Featuring Steve Kenyon and Dr. Derek MacKenzie with the University of Alberta
At this year’s Pasture Walk, we will have well known grazier, Steve Kenyon with Greener Pastures Ranching, showing us how he uses rotationally grazed livestock to build soil, protect and repair water sources, manage weeds and create a drought resilient landscape.
Dr. Derek MacKenzie with the University of Alberta will also be joining us to walk us through the science behind soil. In his work with the University, Derek conducts research on soil-plant relationships in natural and reclaimed ecosystems with a focus on plant growth, microbial processes and nutrient availability.
Lunch will be provided, come prepared for the weather and a great time of learning and networking!
