Grazing Planning Workshop – Dec 12, 1:00 – ~4:00  Register by Dec. 8
Location: Glenreagh Hall, Barrhead County
Brought to you by Farming Forward and Gateway Research Organization with support from the Canadian Forage and Grasslands Association
Do you want to graze differently? Have a plan that needs some tweaking? Want to practice rotational or mob grazing but don’t know where to start? Come learn from someone who’s been doing it successfully. Graeme Finn, of Southern Cross Livestock near Madden, AB, successfully grazes year round. He grazes high legume pastures and annual crops, and utilizes intensive rotational and winter swath grazing strategies. Learn how he manages fencing and water, how biodiversity and soil health can improve your plan, and about some of the tools available to help you.

Bring an air photo of your pastures, or your laptop to access a tool like Google Earth, and develop your own plan. Graeme will be available for advice and suggestions.
